Default Engine Code Troubles

Okay, I'm new to this forum but have been reading on here for a long time. My question is, what is the engine code of the non-vtec SOHC ZC engine, as seen here http://www.hmotorsonline.com/s...30018 and what car did it come in? I'm interested in swapping this into a CRX Si and am hoping that it bolts right in, and I will be performing a mini me swap (z6 head) onto it in the future. Is this possible and can I just use regular D16A6 aftermarket parts on it? Thanks for helping a n00b.

The engine code is "ZC". It is like the d16a6 and will bolt right into your si. Yes you can use d16a6 parts on it without a problem.

So it doesnt have a code such as D16??. And would I be better using the stock Si tranny or buying the ZC tranny that originally came with it as well?

It is just ZC no engine code like d15b2, d16a6, b16a, etc. I would just use the stock si trans as long as it is in good condition.

Is it listed on http://www.4thgenerationcivic....1.htm or anywhere else as a matter of fact? I can't find the horsepower/torque specs etc.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by too_much_boost &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">I will be performing a mini me swap (z6 head) onto it in the future.</TD></TR></TABLE>

An SOHC ZC block with a D16Z6 head = around 12.2:1 compression... a y8 is around 12.7
