One day, while driving my gsr, I hit a bump and I heard a loud "thud" from underneath my car. As a result, my steering wheel seems to feel very loose now when I turn. Do you think maybe I could have damaged something that could have affected the steering mechanics of my car?

 

get an alighnment and steering rack adjustment.

 

check the tie rods while you are at it...

better yet, tell the alignment shop just what you told us here....
