Default So I got my car inspected today and it failed "suspension" automated inspection failed

So I got my car inspected today and it failed "suspension" automated inspection failed. Anyone one else have this happen to them? On my car I have cusco coilovers, lowered about 1.75 inches and using 195/60R14 86H falken azenis Sport (RT-215). I'm thinking I failed the suspension inspection b/c of the falkens and there stiff side walls. Anyone have any input on this?

On a side note, my car passed the emissions with no problem NOx was 144, HC was 102, CO% was .36 and CO2% was 15.6. My civic is turbo D16 running 8lbs of boost haha.

here is a pic

why dont you ask as to why you failed? ive never heard of anyone failing due to suspension... tires due to baldness yes, but never tires due to stiff sidewalls

wtf is that about

I was refering about the side walls of the falkens because of the combination of the coiloovers and the tires, I guess that is why my car failed that part of the inspection. I live in NJ, and part of the inspection they drive your car onto a machine that tests the suspension , by basically the station shakes the crap outta the car when its on it.

maybe your car might be too stiff and they might think thats a hazard on the road...and uncomfortable maybe you should try to see if making your ride softer might help i dunno thats the only reason i could think of if they shake your whole car and it fail....maybe ur set up is too stiff my two cents i could be wrong

cant fail for having the suspension too stiff, just raise your car up to stock height.

yeah I'm with the above poster, it's probably just too low. call em up and ask why you failed.
