Default Car got broken into last night (socal)

It finally happened. Nothing was broken, I don't know how they got it in but they did. My alpine headunit was stolen, along with all my CD's, my craftsman torque wrench, and a half eaten box of cheez-it's! If anyone sees anyone selling this stuff (except the cheez-it's, they probably ate em........******* bum) Please let me know.

Oh and if anyone has any tips on better security, that would be awesome. So post em up.

Thanks guys, and my windows are tinted. I called my mom this morning and she said that my trunk was popped when she left for work. They didn't steal anything from my trunk though. Thank god, I had my old brake booster, master cylinder, prop valve, and brake lines in the box in there. Oh well. I'm about to go file the police report so I can get some money for all my ****. **** theives.

Sounds like a hungry bum ganked you. Probably sold your alpine for crack and had a snack for when he came down. Im sorry for your loss but i would be looking for a bum with a cheez-it box.

I would say you're lucky they didn't take the whole car, but I'm guessing the type of theif who steals your cheez-its is little more than a crack *****/hobo

Naw, I'm not that rich. Oh I also just relized, they stole my Oakley sunglasses. $100 right there. I hope I get SOME money from the insurance company.

The person left a screwdiver in the car. I didn't touch it and when I took the car to the police station, they said it was pretty much pointless to take anything to the lab cause it was really hard to get prints off of the screwdriver.

Do you have power locks? What car is this?

I can PM you as to how they got in and how you can prevent it from happening again.

hard to get prints off a screw driver???? thats absolute horse ****! if michael jackson's life depended on it, i bet they'll pull it off. (prosecution)

i've watched many episodes of CSI (crime scene investigators) hahaha, and they can do a lot of crazy stuff...pulling prints of a screw driver is cake. and one episode list there is a 69% of chance of recovering DNA from anything hand-held. This was the one episode where they found a dead body in the park.

those cops suck. don't wanna help you out.

True Story about Theft:

My girl and I were in my civic last year and this was in L.A. Pretty ghetto kinda area. It was about 10PM outside of her house on the street and we were sorta making out.

anyways back then i Had dark tint so its hard to see if there's anyone in the car without approaching. ABout a few minutes later, some mexican(i'm not racist) approaches my car and looks into my driver side window.

I'm like WTF?!?!? i asked my girl, do you know this guy? she's like...hell no,...what is he doing.... so i start my ignition, and boned out ....the guy didn't run though.

that was when my car wasn't fixed up and boosted. but other then that, i think my car would've been taken cuz i had no security then.

O yea? My car got broken into last week and all they took was my socket wrench set and my power drill set from my trunk. However, they opened up my glove box, took out my head unit, and then left it on the seat......I just don't get it..****** idiots..

i remember last year, if i hadn't forgotten, i would have given someone a box of white cheddar chezz-its as a birthday present. haha.

hey, i guess u can be glad that ur whole car wasn't gone, and that they didn't take everything... and those cops are bs'ing you. i'll bet that they could get all kinds of prints off of that screwdriver if they cared enough to try to help you.

Yeah, I am REALLY glad I still have my car. I just can't get over the fact that it happened right in front of my house, and NOBODY heard anything. I might give the police department a call and ask if there isn't anything ($) they can do with the screwdriver.

I also just found out, about an hour ago, that someones car was broken into lastnight at my work. I work at a sears that is very close to my house. I'm thinking that it could have been the same person. I don't know if I should call and tell the police that, I know that it was reported from my work because our Loss Prevention is really crazy about **** like that.
