the motivation is gone?
okay mods i am putting this up because it pertains to tech info but also i think it is a good topic
So in light of having my car stolen (and the insurance co still has not returned her) I contimplated keeping it.
Lets face it guys (and girls), our cars are probably the most stolen car ever . . i think its at least a few times a week a fellow Honda head gets there artwork stolen. It is enevitable it seems. I had all these cool ideas from you guys here, i was so excited to finally build my Si.
But if my car was stock, and somone stole my car, with a clutch lock and alarm on, whats to stop them again. If I am going to invest money into this car, is that not making it more appealing to theives?
Lets face it cams, and gears, and engines are not cheap, and we all know that insurance co dont give a flying uff if you had a $300 intake system in your car
So i gotta ask, in the end, when you walk outside, and your car is gone, and you spent $25k and mods, and now its gone, was it, is it, worth?

If you get insured for it, it's possible to get coverage for aftermarket parts provided you have documentation of:
1) Price of goods.
2) Proof they were installed.
Of course if your driving record is poor, or if you live in a "bad" neighborhood, you may not be able to get such a policy.
An acquaintaince of mine with a spotless record was able to get such a policy, but I'm in the midwest so the thievery isn't quite so high... heck, move one state over and the top 10 stolen cars (for that state) are all domestics...

your lucky then, cuz in west side phoenix by the end of the day your car is on like ten cars
your though, if you have proof of all that, then it is possible
i just think to when i get my car back, my motivation to stroke the engine and get rims is almost gone . .
