Need help with a distributor
Is there a difference between a D16Y7 and a D16Y8 distributors?
Would I be able to use the Y7 distributor on a Y8 engine?

Also, I bought this distributor (picture above) about a year ago to use for my mini-me conversion, but it doesn’t seem to fit and it has an extra wire plug.
Does any one know what engine this came of off?
It has a stamp on the back “D02691” and on the side “TD-42U” and “4H08”.
Also has a letter “A” stamped on the distributor cap.
I would appreciate any and all help I can get.

TD-42U is the number on a 92-95 D16Z6/D15Z1 distributer.
TD-80U is the number on the Y7, Y8 distributer.
These two are not interchangeable (Z6/Z1 to Y7/Y8), while the Y7 and Y8 are (same part number).
You can look up the part numbers on Majestic Honda

, I guess I'll be selling a (92-95) distributor, soon.
