Flywheel and Clutch ,Axle Question!!!!!!!!!! B17 B17!!!!! B17
The question is that I have just recently purchased a 92 GSR B17 Cable YS1 Transmission and was planning on using it with a 96B18Teg Swap into my 90 Civic CRX. Question one is can I use 90 - 93 B18 Teg Flywheel and clutch work with this Transmission and Engine?
Question Two is will the 90 - 93 axles and intermediate axle that I got for the orginal swap planned transmission, which was 90 B18 Cable Tranny! Will these axles and intermediate axle work with the 92 GSR B17 Cable Tranny.

You will need to use 92-93 Integra clutch parts for that tranny. As for the axles, 90-93 axles and half-shaft will work.
In other words 92 - 93 B18 Teg Clutch and flywheel are no good to me with this tranny. As in clutch parts do you mean flywheel and clutch for that year and model tranny. By the way thanks for the information.

The flywheel won't. ( someone correct me if I'm wrong though ) All I can say is a customer accidently bought 2000 si flywheel for his b16a and it did not work.

I don't think they will work either

all b-series flywheels and pressure plates are the same, but you will need a 92-93 integra clutch disc. For axles you can use the 90-93 integra axles/half shafts. Just be sure you use the right axle seals other wise you'll be leaking mtf.

No there not, the cable b series and the hydraulic b series are different

Pressure plates are the same. It is the clutch disc that is different. I am not sure about the flywheel though.

all b-series flywheels and pressure plates are the same(manual transmission). only 90-91 integras have a different clutch disc, 92 up integras all have same clutch disc, 90-93 have same throwout bearing though

I am using a CM flywheel for a 90-91 integra with my 98 jdm itr transmission. My friend is using a cable flywheel in his 2L gsr in a eg hatch. Like i said B-series flywheels and pressure plates are the same. Just be sure you use the right throw out bearing and clutch disc and you'll be fine.

hey i can answer this question from first-hand experience.
the cable-actauted YS1 transmission found in 92-93 USDM Integra GSR b17a's and JDM b16a's has the same spline count on the input shaft as the later hydraulic-actuated transmissions.
all other cable b-series trannies (J1/Y1/S1) have the same spline count as each other, but it is different from the hydro/YS1.
so, the YS1 uses a hydro clutch disc.
the flywheels and pressure plates are the same on ALL cable b-series transmissions.

All 1990-01 b series flywheels should be the same an interchange just fine.
All 92 and up use the same size clutch assemblies with the only differences being the strength between vtec and non vtec models.
If you have a 90 or 91 style clutch, all you need is a new disk to fit the big spline design.

I'm telling you right now, a flywheel off a 2000 civic will not bolt up to a clutch setup ment for a 1990 integra so there not the same, I was in the saturation when a customer accidentally order the wrong flywheel. I'm not saying the splines are different, but I know the bolt patter is.
And if they were the same, clutchmasters would have it as the same part number.

The pressure plate is an ACT extreme for a 90-91 integra. However, all act xtreme pressure plates have the same part # of H-025X, including the 99-00 civic si. As for the disc I am running an ACT itr street/strip disc (should be the same as 99-00 civic too) and a itr throwout bearing (same as 99-00 civic si) with 90-91 integra axles seals since I am using 90-91 integra axles/half shaft.

Well when ever I place an order for an engine, a first gen b16, Steve at hmotors always tells me the newer clutch setup will not work.
And the flywheel I received that was for a 2000 si and tha did not work.

Looks like alot has been happening while I've been gone. I appreciate everyone's input on this. Thanks it helped alot. So what does it mean when it says (THICK) on the discription but it doesn't on some of the same clutches.
