Default building motor

well I was wandering if anyone had some suggestions on building the bottom end of my k20a2, I am getting a a2 bottom end with less than 30k on it and I plan on building that and then putting it in my car. Dont just throw the word Toda out of your mouth, I would like some people with hans on in different pistons/rods including but as well as the toda stuff. I was thinking about 12:1 or 12.5:1 compression and then cams and probably head work to match it. We have 93 octain around here so a little higher would be easier then most of you's 91 octain. Anyone done it in here? looking for some info on the all motor route, its my 1st build.

Cybernation motorsports makes some nice pistons and rods. Also je pistons, cp pistons and srp pistons. Those are just a few names to look at other than toda or mugen.

I read that the rods are the weakest link. Possibly forged rods could be a good setup?

I say if your going to pull the motor to put new rods in i say do it all and not have to do it twice. If your going to up the compression get some toda valve springs or someone elses valve springs such as skunk2, crower even phantom grip has a valve kit for around 750
