My rex was almost stolen.
Well last night at about 3:00, I woke up and couldnt go back to sleep for some reason. I decided to go into my brothers room to get a cd to listen to, and I happened to look down at my car parked in the street. Well i saw two people down at my car so I got my baseball bat and ran downstairs. When I opened the door and went to my car they were gone and luckily they didnt get in yet. I looked to see if they took anything and went back inside. This time I sat in my brothers room and watched my car for about 30 minutes from his window to see if they would come back with the telephone ready to call the cops. Nothing happened and I went back to sleep. Well now I'm gonna do some kill switches and alarm. My car has also been parked in the street because it leaks oil at the moment and have been paranoid about it out there. I have no security whatsoever in my car because I live in a town of about 5000. I consider myself and my car very lucky. Also I searched but has anyone done some sort of hoodlatch relocation on an EF. If you guys have any other tips on security I would like to hear them.
holy hell that stinks man lucky you saved it.
Invest in a nice ak 74 no one wants a 5.45 in them
******* carjackers.
Its hard to tell whats best they might be vandels or just for parts do as much sneaky security as you can.
was a sweet fuel pump kill write up today

Wow man, dont forget to lock the wheel. Heck its an CRX/EF, so you can take the steering wheel inside with you if you have a 17mm socket! Just gently pry off the H-logo on your wheel, then take the wheel off...you might have to try a couple of times to get it back on exactly straight, but F-theives!
Never considered that, I did consider a quick release steering wheel but that will come a little later. Tonight I'm parking in the driveway with a 4runner behind it.
I have heard of routing the hood latch in the engine bay. Not sure but seems pretty straight forward. Otherwise I have seen on here people lacing it with razors.

in the mean time you can pull your ECU out, pull fuses in the engine bay. there are a number of tricks to keep it disabled when you haven't had time to install real security measures.
ur so lucky.. u woke up and couldn't fall back asleep for a reason.. heh
just a little wake up call... your Honda is in danger of being stolen no matter where you are

i dont know where you live but you can do a micro lock with a switch in an obscure place, then rout the micro lock power through the brake lights. Flip the switch and arm the micro lock, if somebody gets in it to steal they will at somepoint hit the brakes. the micro lock will arm with the brake lights and will not allow fliud back into the master cylinder. the car will not have the brakes on permanently or untill you turn off the switch and pump the brakes once to release the pressure. Sorry to hear what happened but this does work. I have one on my jeep with no doors no top.
