Default ITR valvetrain use for buddy club spec3's?

I have a gsr motor running itr valves and valvetrain running skunk stage 1 ang spoon jdm itr pistons 11.3 to 1 . Do I need upgraded valvetrain for buddyclubs? If I do get valvetrain such as rockets I might just get skunk pro 1's but rather stay milder

well, if thats the case then you should be perfectly fine with ITR's, thats what i was planning on running with those camshafts.... they're not that aggressive really, especially the lift. Youll be fine, run ITR's and save your money

having too stiff of a valve spring isnt a good thing i was always told, only makes the motor that much tighter which in turn makes the motor slower, im almost positive youll sacrafice hp if you have too tight of valve springs.

help me out here if im wrong... ?

I don't think that's really the case. I think too stiff of valve springs creates more stress on the timing belt, shortening its life. I could be wrong about that though.

Anyway, what are the specs on those cams? If I were you, I'd upgrade the valvetrain just to be safe. It won't be too stiff. If I remember correctly, BC3's are in the same league as Skunk2-2's and Toda B's, and both companies state that an upgraded valvetrain is required to properly run the cams. Would you rather spend a few hundred on a valvetrain, or spend much more in the case of bent valves and the damage that could happen because of them?

keep your itr outers, buy some alaniz or portflow inners and their retainers as well.

that will be your cheapest way to go, and you'll have an alaniz aka portflow valvetrain.
