Default power band b18

when i was at the drag strip this weekend i wanted to see if i dipped into the redline if my stock 93 integra would get a better time but it seemed to get worst so i think i must have come out of the power band/curve whatever its called and was just waisting time being in that gear so i was wondering at what rpm do i get the most horse power and torque on a b18a

You will need to experiment with your shift point. You et will tell you.

If possible, put the car on a dyno and do a pull in each gear. This will give you an exact measurement of where the power is and will allow you to calculate where you need to shift for each gear to have the highest average horsepower between shifts.

In my hatchback, I shifted to 2nd at 7900, 3rd at 8100, and 4th at 8000 in order to get the best possible acceleration through the quarter mile.

dont you think that is reving it a little to high because mine redlines at 6800 but i just bought my car like a month ago and it is still completely stock so reving it that high doesnt sound good for the engine

I was using the shift points from my B16 as a reference that for ideal acceleration, shift points can vary thus the suggestion that you put it on the dyno and figure out your motor's ideal shift points.

i have tryed that but i have 17's with low pro tires so they just slip so i drop it from about 2,500 and about that 11.2 that is the 660 ft i think it is different from the 8th mile

in the LS you stop making power after like 6500 ish i think. So i would suggest shifting about when you start to redline. Just experience from my LS.
