Would anything bad happen if i took off my heat shield from my stock header on my stock gsr teggy?

 

i see it all the time but the car could blow up

 

i dunno..i bought my car with a jdm 4-1 header w/no heatshield and the area above it on the hood is really wobily if u press it. u cant see anything visually but seems like its really weak, like the it got warped from teh heat. i bought a new hood and its not like that :shrugs:

 

how? its only the header heat shield, everyone with aftermarket headers have no heat shield dont they?
