ok im lost. i bought my civic with a swapped motor (still a z6, but just from a different car: 93 del sol)...i just last night personally pulled a dizzy off another del sol with the single cam....tried to fit it on my civic and it wont fit????? what the heck? 2 of the arms are too far apart... im so confused..? its the stock del sol engine i pulled it off of last nite too

 

distributor key could be facing the wrong way. It fits only one way.

it's faces only one way. if you flip the key (the part that goes into the engine, looks like the flat end of a screwdriver) 180 degrees it will not fit into the engine no matter how hard you try.

 

Del Sols came with another single cam other than the d16z6. It could be that the dizzy is off that motor.

that's another possibility

 

what single cam was it?

i know what you mean by the key, its not that...one of the arms is farther apart then the one on my civic...thanks guys

info on that engine would be cool tho, thanks
