JDM airbag only has 2 wires but the car has 3 wires for the airbag.

Also steering column/reel has 6pin connector with all gray wires and JDM wheel only has 3 total (1 for horn, 2 for SRS I assume).

Anyone got this wired up with the SRS working? The wheel is cool but I am not going to use it if I lose SRS....

 

do you have cruise control on your car? you might want to take that into account

 

What color are the wires? and year of car?

 

Nope no cruise, it's a 92 civic vx

 

On the six pin connector three of them on one side go to the three pin connector and then the far opposite wire goes to the horn.. the center of the three wires isn't used..

 

Hmm ok. I just need to find a way to hook the SRS connector up then. Can the 3 wires I have run the 2wire airbag?

yeah true... without honda-tech I would go crazy.. I have 2 extra airbags. maybe you could fill your car with them so you dont get hurt

 

I could just get a bunch of inflated mylar balloons I guess.

I just can't imagine that nobody has done this before.

I guess I could just pick 2 of the 3 wires and solder those to the airbag.... heh.

I assume I have to use the JDM reel? Or can I use the US one?

Yes.. The center wire isn't used.
