Default Clutch question...

i know this is a n00b question but what are the symptoms of a clutch that is almost gone? ever since i bought my car is has always acted a little funny and i think the clutch could be the culprit.

symptoms:

1. sometimes car will have trouble getting into fourth, and will occasionally pop out of gear.

2. when turning in any in gear while letting the clutch out the car will jerk somewhat violently.

3. in stop and go traffic when the clutch is really hot, the engagment point is literally at the floor.

thanks for the help guys!

Symptoms of a worn clutch are the rpm increasing without your speed increasing for one. This is usually the most common symptom. What type of clutch are you running?

you might want to check your clutch cable line... tighten it up a bit maybe.
