Another compression question
I'm curious as to what the horsepower difference would be on these two motors.
1. B18C1 with everything stock except for 9.1:1 pistons.
2. B18C1 with everything stock.
Now if i'm correct, the stock B18C1 pistons are 10:1 compression, right? I dont know how to figure out the horsepower difference, if there is a way. Maybe even a percentage of difference? Would it be a 9% difference? I understand that the horsepower will be different on different motors, i'm just trying to get a rough guestimate.

I've heard somewhere that...
for a full point raise in compression (ex: 9.0:1 ---> 10.0:1), you gain 5% more power.
It's just a rough estimate (not the be all end all, there are so many variables) and has seemed to be true when I have tryed to guestimate how much power an engine is going to produce.

thats what I was guessing, I have no idea where to look for the info though. not that its really that important anyway, i'm just curious.
