The easiest way is to fill them with for example screw or bolt.

Plug the black hose. Or remove the purge solenoid.

Leave the red hose open, your gas tank has to vent some how.

Cap the port on your throttlebody.

the orange hose is your fuel tank vent. the smaller vacuum hose is purge solenoid. you can remove the solenoid and plug the nipple on the intake manifold where the other vacuum line attached to it is attached to the manifold.

the canister is to catch, store and slowly release fuel vapours back into the intake stream.

try and extend that red hose at least and put it where the old hose came out of the canister. Those are gas vapors and are flamable, be safe with it. I am considering this also. It just scares the **** out of me that it could ignite and go to the gas tank if not done right. I know it is a snow ***** chance in hell but IT COULD HAPPEN. I do not want to be a burned.

GOOD LUCK

Thanks man, thats funny i was just thinking about extending it to the old canister dump spot right before i pressed refresh haha. I will prolly paint that red hose black or replace it so it wont be seen. Now im just contemplating headlight wiring to fenderwells, but im just a little freaked out. Wiring isnt my best thing

Just a note to all of you people doing this, if you do plug that line and for some reason disconnect your fuel return when you are working on your car there is a possibility that the fuel will start coming out the return.

When I was doing a swap, the temperature went from really cold to really hot and I came home to a lake of gas all over my garage floor.

What if you just vent it to the old place like me and ELAMINT5 were talking about, would fuel come out the return line ?

and again i ask.....basically i can remove the purge solenoid, and even the hoses attached to the bottom??

no body wanted to answer my question on this...what happens if you take the red line from the fuel tank and put it to the throttle body directly? where the other red hose use to be?

I don't think your two-way valve (regulates gas tank pressure) would work properly if you connected the red hose to the throttle body.

Get a newer TB with a built in map and that whole firewall assembly can hit the garbage, the evap will not toss a code unpluged.

I dont see why you couldnt vent the tank right back into the manifold, thats what is does its just the charcaol canister is like a cat on a exhaust, it cleans it up a bit.

Or hang a line to vent it down to the ground out of the bay.

Cleans what? Gas fumes can be cleaned? The canister is a storage unit.

Mine dosn't even have the hose on it, it's just venting directly into the engine bay. Probably not the safest thing but I've had no trouble so far.
