Default Future LS-turbo Problems?

hey guys...searched around alittle and didn't find a whole lot on this (im also at work and didn't have time to comb every inch of the site so forgive me if its a repost) im looking into doing a LS-turbo setup in my civic mated with a GSR or SI tranny...i will prob be using a smaller turbo for the respnce (t25-t3) and wouldn't run more than 10psi...my main question is * What is the weakest link in the LS motor? what would i need to do to make it reliable (i don't mind going into the motor if i need to) this will be used for autox and roadracing (i almost never drag)...the reason im asking is i want to do it the right way, but i don't wanna spend extra cash on things that would have held up anyway (im not the richest guy in the world) just didn't want to be throwing money away...if anybody has had any experience with this setup feel free to comment...thanks guys

I would have to say to at least get a block guard. While you're in there, it wouldn't hurt to get GSR water pump and Oil Pump. Pistons would be a good idea also if you're gonna run boost. I don't have a turbo yet, but thats what I've read/heard thus far.

The compression on the LS is low enough (9.2) that you probably wouldn't need new pistons to run 10 PSI as long as you don't go much higher and as long as your valvetrain is in good order, (springs and valves arent sticking and you dont have valve float). What is known to be weak in the LS are the rods, they're usually only good to about 250HP, you would probably want to replace the rods with stronger and maybe lighter ones, and while your in the block, I would check all your oil clearances on the crank and rods, and have your crank balanced and cleaned really well, and double/triple check your springs and valves and valve guides.
