Default Need some Help... Dose anyone know the length testpipe for Type R

I know this seems like a realitivty easy question but I have ordered two different testpipes and neither one fit. I measured and it looks like I need a 22.50 in length. Can anyone let me know if this is correct or not. To me it seemed a lil long but I have one that is 16.5 and the other is even smaller. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Open downpipe, wuss!

If I was at home I'd measure my cat for you. But I'm not.

Open Dp? I'm not going to be running open downpipe. I thought the factory cat also was 17.5 but I swear the testpipe I have now is like 16.5 and it is nowhere near close to fitting. Thats what through me off a bit, just doing a rough measure it was close to 6" off.

im about %99.5 sure its 17.5 inches.
Best way to find out is measure what you need.

The thing that might be throwing it off is that your DP prob isnt the same length as the stock Ex manifold.

Thanks for the replys and I did a search def my first thing to do lol. I came up with usdm is around 17.5" but I swear mine is off about 6". I'm running a factory exhaust manifold though it is a GSR not sure if that has anything to do with it into a factory ITR exhaust. Had to take everything back off for warranty work, have to get my tranny rebuilt or get a new one and everything will be covred just had to take all my turbo stuff off. Any other suggestions. I know I said I did a rough measure but it's hard to get an accurate measurement under a cramped car with no room

Ahhh so they are dif lengths... I would assume then that the GSR manifold is shorter than the ITR one? If so then the 22.5 might actually be the length i need.

off the top of my head, yes i believe it is shorter. So you would need a longer TP.

They dont cover warranty work with a turbo on?
hahaha You wouldnt believe the stuff they warranted with my hi hp R with turbo. lol
There was nothing stock on the car and they still did it.

Why don't you just crawl under your car and measure the gap between the header collector and the b-pipe? Seems like the easiest solution to me...

btw, what the hell does this mean?

Sorry didn't have time at the moment to run a spell check I'm sure everyone knew what I meant. Like stated before I did a rough measure as it is not the easiest to get under my car and got a measurement. What I came up with seemed a little long compared to what i have heard so that is the whole reason I posted here.

Pete,
Yeah I was gonna leave everything on my car but the assit service manager at honda who is my friend told me to be safe take it back to stock since it will be getting enough attention for it being a Type R to begin with and it would make it even worse if it was turbo lol.

Either he's referring to the "theory of relativity," etc. or he just misspelled relatively.

I think we understood what he meant though, at least it wasn't some HiP HoP gibberish.
