Default ctr worth it? (yea i searched)

i've been a member for a while under dfish but i lost it somehow...
I'll be selling my tuned 97 gsx this spring because i need a college car... a college car that can also kick some but in autox and a little road racing.

I'm not a newb but i need some advice, I'm planning on buying a 92+ hatch and doing an engine swap, I would use it for a daily driver, autox, and some track days. FI isn't an option (i want something reliable, rember i own a dsm )

i was thinking a ctr motor or gsr motor maybe even a b16a. a itr is out of my price range. What would you guys reccomend, is the ctr motor worth it? the gsr motor has motor tq, but i'm assuming it weighs more and might throw off the ballance. I've done some research, and looked at many faq's but none seem to cover swaps in enough detail.

this would also be my first swap.

any advice on which motor?
thanks

ctr is well worth it considering your plans for your civic. ctr has the mild ported head from honda /valve train /lsd trans with close gear ratio can easily be stroked to a 1.8liter.

gsr is also great if you can find a swap.

a friend of mine bought his ctr swap here:

i would say go with ctr more benefits(tranny/differential/valvetrain) for future upgrades and plans to auto-x.
