my 98 cw
its a theft recovery but the car have something special... Its a 98 but all the body and light are 97 !? i dont know why ...carfax report nothnig exept the theif recovery...no crash or somethings like that ... So i think its one of the first 98 itr maybe that can explain the 97 body... So i bought it with missing engine ,wheel and the # badge on the console 
It just get out of the paint shop and i stored it for winter... i need some time for re install my front lips and some parts i bought durring the winter 
Note: winter tires are for storage only
some pics one day before rebadge the R and store it

my mod i have to install for now

Welcome. That's weird with it being a 98 with 97 body. Can't explain that*shrug*. How many kms on her? Mine is a stolen and recovery too. Had it check by Acura when I bought it and it checked out perfect. No major accidents or anything. In fact, the service manager offered me a couple g's more than I paid for it the day before. Guess that proves how much I love the R

Front bumper looks to be a different shade of white compaired to the hood and fenders. Did you choose that rear badge over the factory sticker? Or did you get the car with that on there?

yea that front bumper is definatly not the original that came with the car. that bumper was overpainted. on the 94-97 integra bumpers, the bottom portion of the bumper, was grey. basically the itr lip would cover it up there. that, and where the grill is, it should be black, or grey, but not the same color as the bumper itself. and it dosent seem to line up currectly.

Some weird stuff in those pics...
Other then the nose being from a pre-97 the mirrors are from 00 and up the ground strap is in the wrong place, the rear badge is not legit/ factory, the paint looks too new and the rear wheel wells are missing the infamous rubber strip, the rear lights look from an different year, looks like hood and hatch are not aligned right, no rear wiper, pre-98 bumper and the tire are Far from stock and the last my tired eyes can see the grill being painted. Got any more pics?

the car jsut get out of the paintshop thats explaint the front grill painted... engine is a swap (jdm itr engine)maybe that can explain the ground ...i put the rear badge by my self 33$ for a little stiker make me crazy lol.... and for the body its a 97 (light and bumper) all arround but acura tell me its a 98 with the vin # carfax show me 98 integra type R no accident or anything wrong exept the theif recovery.... i bought it like that only thnigs missing on the car was the engine and the 4 wheels .... winter tires are for storage ... bumper hood and hatch are perfictly aligned maybe the picture is f*cked up... for the rear wiper maybe a previous owner remove it i dont know where it is ... for the mirror i dont know never really look at it

They probably switched it with someone for cash. 98 front is worth more but maybe he like 97 front and switched and got extra $ on top.

since its a theft recovery somewho who built the car was a cheap *** and bought 97 bumpers 
cut all the corners they could, hell that may not even be a real itr wing, that badge on the back also =
for a type r though, id look into some 98 f/r bumpers and taillights if i were you
