Got this free from a friend. Looks to be ceramic coated. It this a DC header or something else? Will it work for EK swap? Thanks!

 

looks like a DC sport header but the lable should be on there. don'k know if it will fit a EK.

 

Anybody with an RSX want to buy this cheap?

I don't think its going to work either... and if it aint going to work might as well get rid of it...

 

doesnt look like DC to me. dc has a little flap inside the collector. might be a moddified DC though, looks like someone tried to polish it or sumthin

 

It does look modified inside the collector... when I first saw the DC header i said to myself... "removing that flap would probably gain a few HP?"...

Looks like whoever had this header before me thought the same thing.

Anyway, I don't really need this header since I just confirmed it wont work with my motor swap. Anyone interested in buying a modified DC sports header?

 

If you got it free, why don't you just give it away also? I don't think you are going to find anyone to buy it, I might be wrong, but those shorty exmanis do absolutely nothing compared to the stock piece. They are more for show and even that doesn't work as you can not see the exmani very easily on the K engines. Basically they are just a way for DC to make money by selling to the misinformed souls running about, thinking I bought this header now I am going to go whoop some *** on the streets. I'll start the bidding at $5.

 

Sad but very true. Most dyno's of the DC shorty header gained about 1hp but lost around 3 pounds of tq. Not worth it.. Actually DC sports is crap now. You should read my thread regarding DC sports and the Race header. its on page 2 of rsx forums.

yeah looks like an ebay header, it could be a DC sports but i can't imagine why the label would be removed

 

This will not work for an EK swap. You need a header from a TSX for it to fit.
