Stolen for the second time
Hey, I just had my 2000 PY Itr stolen for the second time in Vancouver. I will never drive my car there again. Luckily I got it back later the next day but missing my Aem Cai and stereo. Also someone has curbed and basically ruined my stock wheels. ran over curbs to fast and stratched the bottom lip and put stress cracks around the headlights from pressure. I think I have about had it with the R. If i didn't love it so much whne ever i drove her, i would sell it right away

What are: two things that don't prevent our Rs from being stolen by POS thieves, Alex?

You are lucky man. My whole thing was stripped and I'm still at it. But it wont be a street car. But seriously I have gone through way more than you don't give up so easy.

Yea that 5-lug is a giveaway. I spotted an ITR I hadn't seen in my area before...a black debadged one with the 5-lug.
I've already had a few people recognize my debagded, wingless, tinted car...but maybe some people will suspect a conversion...that's right, we all drive LS tegs...

alarm and garage can keep the car safe when u have it at home. but when u park it somewhere there are no guarantees. an alar m isnt a big deal nowadays cuz pple jus get the car towed.
so only where u can really protect it is at your own house.
like me i got a gate that cant open without the remote. a garage for the itr. a 2 way pager alarm. 2 security survalence cameras recording everything happening on my driveway.

Damn that sucks big time but at least you still have it. Being PY we don't have the option of trying to fool people with no wing or stickers. I myself never worry about my car. In my area its not cool unless its a Mustang or big lifted truck.
Helps me out though. Anyway don't give up yet.

What?
There is no fool proof way unless you sit by your car with a gun at all times. I've got better things to do than worry about a damn car.

yeah i completely agree with Mires....its a damn car that unfortunately no matter how many deterants you use it will still be stealable. IMO...he did more then required for any normal automobile.....but can you really consider an R normal in regards to theft, definitely not!

That's a little much in my eyes. You'd basically be driving a GS-R look-alike.

The first time it was stolen was when i was at work, the car in teh garage at home witht he battery outta the car. The used a scanner and opened my remote garage door. and towed the car away. I guess this is the third time the car has been stolen because before i bought it she was stolen and de numbered. All vin locations were removed. does anyone know how to find the orignal vin number if it has a reissued vin? I need it to get another key made.
