Default d16z6 swap

Let me know if youve done one how much work it is and the steps i have to do. i plan on doing one within the next 2 weeks so i need some help.

Why dont you add some info... such as what its going into, what year, etc etc.... plus read the stickies at the top of the forum.... you can probably find some answers there... not mention if you tried searching.

alrite its a 95 d16z6 block tranny and ecu setup going into a 94 civic cx.

Easy take yours out, put the new one in, and wire in vtec, 02 wiring. There is a write up somewhere.... try the search for it.

Dont' get me wrong, I love the d16, but if you're going through the trouble of a motor swap, why not just do a b16? Did you get a really good deal on the d, or just like that engine more?

He probably already had it lying around, either that or it must have been a good deal. People tend to get rid of them for ridiculously cheap.

yea i got it cheap i didnt have 1000-1200 to throw into an engine
so do i just pull the hoses undo the mounts pull it, drop the new one in bolt up the moutns, hook up the hoses wire ecu and go

You might want ot get new mounts while you are there. And a new T-belt. And a nitrous kit. Wet of course. and spank most b series. (Never show what you got)

just like you taking out a motor and put another one back in. plug and play. if you know how to use hand tools, floor jack, cherry picker and jack stands. you good to go.
