Default changed struts and..no help

i had this noise coming from my front right strut for a while. not when i go ova hard bump or potholes, rather when i wnt ova wavy roadway or uneven pavemnt. its that "boble" noise i hear..lexus tech where i work said it was comign from the top of the strut.. i took it to my mechanic and he said it was the strut, repaced the struts for me..and i still have that noise. the idiot i am didnt know when he said the top of the strut he meant the strut mount, u guys think it could be the mount now or could it be a ball joint..any ideas, b/c i cant trust my mechanic that a$$h0le

it could be a number of things...most bobbling noises, however, come from axles...

First, what you need to do is to try to reproduce the sound with the car standing still.

Have a friend rock the car while you try to locate the noise.

Also, you may want to look at the stabilizer links. Use big slip-joint and check if you have a bit of play.

My mom's got the same issue with a 98 V-6 She had the struts replaced and it's still there, I''m guessing it's a motor mount somewhere, try wiggling around the engine sometime. If it moves about excessively it's one of the mounts. Just something to try. As far as I know she still hasn't gotten it fixed but I'll ask next time I talk to her.

i had a similar problem in my 5th gen, it was after i had new struts installed. With me on the top strut mount the nut was loose. all i did was pop the hood and tighten it down with a wrench. It could be slightly different with you though, because i would think that the mehcanic would have tightened it down good
