My cars been giving me trouble and i fear it might be the tranny, how much would a transmission cost me, either to fix it or buy a new/used one?

 

am..depends used tranny 500 - 900,,,new tranny 1500 +, rebuild 1500 + 1 year warranty.

 

it just depends on what kind of tranny u get.....

B18b (LS) tranny is the cheapest...less sought after...

 

were would be a good place to buy the trannys

 

I have a few places in the MD, VA, WV and PA area that sell trannys. Fair prices too. I have seen them from anywhere of 350 to 800 just depends on what your looking for...Shorter Gears, Get a GSR. Taller Gears, Get an LS the Ls tranny is cheaper anyways

 

if you take a look in the classifieds, there's a lot of trannys for sale, you can find them at pretty good prices depending where you look.

I got my almost new ls tranny for $400 here on ht. Just keep a look out in the classified, you might find a good deal.

Just be cautious on what you buy...transmissions that grind and are said to be an "easy fix" are very costly when done right
