I finally got the R out to the drag strip today for the first time since I have owned it. A kind of disappointing day w/ 5 runs and the lowest being a 14.9. Following the 1/4 trips I headed over to the local auto-x and got to watch. WOW, I finally came to the realization that I need to start auto-xing this caR, it looks like sh*tloads more fun than running the 1/4 mile. Thanks to all those who helped persuade my decision
Sounds fun. The following is my own personal Type R Enjoyment Spectrum (tm)
Track Days > AutoX > Canyon Driving > Drag Racing > Driving to Work > Jumping off a cliff > Street Racing
Track Days > AutoX > Canyon Driving > Drag Racing > Driving to Work > Jumping off a cliff > Street Racing
Post all your stats. R/T, 60 ft etc etc.
Maybe we can help you figure out the problem.
If it weren't for Dave Bowlin (DavidNYC) I wouldn't know AutoX or HPDE existed. Thanks, Dave!

PS: Enjoy the R, it's a shlode of fun when put to good use

Get your feet wet with a few autox's, then have some real fun on a road course. The porsche club is hosting a hpde event in topeka on April 23-24, then of course there's the Type R Expo in May. Both are perfect opportunities to learn how to drive your R like it was meant to be driven.
