if the clutch was just worn out and slipping, that wouldn't make it not go in gear. or are you saying that it feels like it goes in gear but the car doesn't move?

if you mean the first one, I'd say clutch cable (which should be obvious) or a jammed up throwout assembly. if you mean the second one, then yeah your clutch is nonexistant.

yea well i can turn on the car and rev it, but if i push the clutch down and put the car in gear like 1st then let off the clutch the car doesnt die, its like the car is just sitting in neutral

only way i've seen a clutch go is after a while of slipping till it was replaced, so in my experiance, which isnt much lol unless it was slipping it might be something else but idk

Check the throw out bearing before you start spending any money. You'd feel the clutch cable if that was the problem because the pedal would require next to no effort to depress.

Check where your shifter connects to the linkage too, just incase. You may 'think' its going into gear but nah...

another easy thing you could do is drain the oil out of the tranny and check for excessive metal shavings or chunks. the magnet on the inside wont catch all the pieces if something really bad happened to your tranny. just a thought.

doesn't that reqire pulling the tranny anyway? clutch kits aren't bad for d15s... could probably get one under $100 shipped on ebay with a new throwout bearing and pressure plate too...then have your mechanic install it.

if it was just your tob that was bad, you either wouldn't be able to shift or it would make some serious noise. either you're not getting into gear like someone mentioned (the less likely possibility), or your clutch is beat, or you need to adjust your clutch cable. Turn the adjustment **** to the left a couple of turns and see if it doesn't get any better. Otherwise, it's clutch time.
