How to tell Head gasket or Head?
How can you tell if you blew your head gasket or you cracked or warped your head? is there any distinct symptoms that would point out the problem?
The best way to tell is with a compression test. If two adjacent cylinders have low compression, that's usually an indicator of a blown gasket.
To find a warp, you'll need to remove the head and check it with a straight edge and a feeler gauge. To find cracks, you'll need to use a chemical dye. You spray it on the head, and then you spray a developer over the dye. Cracks will show up as bright red lines.
