Default Strange problem

This problem has occured like 3 times in the 1 year that i have owned my car.

Last night i was driving on the freeway, just cruising at part throttle. Then suddenly the car starts hesitating. Feels like someone is pressing the ac switch on and off. When i put my foot down the car accelerates but hesitates (like feels similar to tapping on the accelerator). I pulled over and as soon as i put my clutch in the car died. I stopped and started her up first time. Then i drove off and nothing happened

What do you think my problem is?

My mods include:
JDM Gen 2 B16a - 10.7:1 Compression
Stock cams
2 layer headgasket
Ported & polished head
Bored throttle body
Short ram intake
4-2-1 header
2.25" mandrel bent exhaust with N1 muffler.

My car was doing this when I had a clogged catalytic convertor. I'd pull my dipstick out and see bubbles in the oil.

Nah AC wasn't on. I dont think its my ignition because i have new plugs and leads. Could it be a clogged fuel filter? But if this is the case, i think it would hesitate more often. This problem only occurs like once every 3 months

It could be a faulty oxigen sensor also.

Can you get replacement ones from auto shops or do you have to get OEM ones from Honda? Price?

Oxigen sensor can be picked up from pep-boys or any other auto-parts store. OEM is always better, but these are cheaper. I believe they go for about $25-30...

But a faulty oxigen sensor would throw a code. There can be exceptions though. It happened to a buddy of mine and he had no code either.
However, you should check other stuff before you go out and buy one.
Check the fuel filter, check O2 wiring, maybe vacuum lines etc...

ck the fuel filter....i doubt it's a bad O2 sensor because that would give you a CEL. when's the last time you replaced the wires? i had a similar prob with my old awd dsm. i thought it was possibly bad fuel or clogged fuel filter, i had recently replaced the plugs as well and the problem turned out to be the wires. your ignition should be fine otherwise you'd see the problem more often than a few months at a time. i'd bet either the fuel filter or the wires.

Wires are NGK ones replaced about 8 months ago so i doubt that. It might be the fuel filter...
