Default opinions on my situation

ok, i have a 2000 integra ls. it is an automatic. currently i have to options. i know a guy who is selling a 2001 integra gsr engine/tranny and everything else for teh swap including ecu. it has 47000 miles on it and he wants 3000 dollars.

or i know a guy that is selling a b16 tranny for 450 dollars.

i also know of a gsr head i can get for 550 dollars with dizzy.

i dont know if i should do the full gsr swap or just convert to a manual. i know there are benefits to both, but i am just curious what some of you guys with more honda experience then me think i should do? and are these prices a good deal?

i also have to dig up master, slave cylinders, pedals...etc i know, but that will come after i decide which i wanna do.

best bet is to go with the complete swap and have him agree
to help you out if you need any other minor stuff to make it happen...

and also try to get a better price dont pay the full 3000

3k for the GSR swap is pretty good price.
but for that 3k, you could buy that vtec head, and the b16 tranny, and with your leftover money build a hell of an LS/Vtec

well i have heard gsr engines are stronger and are safer to rev? i wanna put my car into at least the 13s eventually with boost. i just want a quick 15 sec car before the end of the summer though. i don't wanna boost it for another year. that is why i was thinking about going with the gsr. it seems like the majority thinks i should pick up the head and the b16? would that be just as quick as the gsr?

the head and the b16, put onto your LS?

that is LS/Vtec

it'd be quicker then the GSR if done right.
but you'd need more then just that head and tranny.

i know, it the head and the dizzy, i would need to find an ecu somewhere and such. i know what i need, i was just saying thats what i can get right now. i have to search around a bit for teh rest.

why is ls/vtec faster then a gsr engine?
