I have a 95 EJ1 and a Greddy Evo, the muff sits a little lower than stock, so I'm wondering if putting on Nuespeed Race springs will cause it to scrape if I go over anything. Does anyone have 2 cents on this or this setup or similar that would be willing to let me know what would happen. I'm thinking it would be ok, but before I buy the springs I would like to get a few opinions/feedback on it, thanks again everyone.

 

yes it will sit very low and you will scrape once in a while. i used to have a set of these then replaced it with eibach and it gave a little increase (in height).btw i forget whats the measurement on those neuspeed race spring but they sure hell will lower your car a lot than what might you expected.

 

I rode around with an Evo and H&R springs which have a similar drop to the Neuspeed. The muffler did scrape over bumps and steep hills, but it's built very solidly and it won't get all bent up unless you drive like an idiot. So I think your okay.

 

Im tucking a good amount of tire on my 94 EJ1.... and have the EVO catback... it will scrape across speedbumps, and if there is a drastic dip in the road, but other than that its ok.

You are tucking a good two inches of tire on your 15's.
Believe me cnyej1 is very low (oil pan about three inches from the ground) and he doesn't scrape too much at all. My advice would be to take bumps slow and get as much of an angle as possable.

i have an evo catback with h&r race and the only thing i scrape is my lip. you just cant go drivin over anything crazy, and take speed bumps at an angle

 

Alright, cool, I was wondering if I would be scraping as I'm driving, or if its loaded down bad.

 

Not familiar with either the springs or muffler but I did have a lower car before and the exhaust on it would get very close to scraping on speed bumps and driveways. I learned to cope with it by scoping out where I lived and taking different routes (not too drastic) to eliminate a speed bump or a steep driveway. Just my 2 cents

That's what I did with my ol hatch. Neuspeed race and N1 exhaust, only scraped on speed bumps if I wasn't careful or on really really really shitty poorly paved roads.

 

Just slam it
