si tranny to from dx? flywheel?
YEP! Although I dont know what year the d15b Vtec came in. but if its a 90+ your going to have to use the right clutch. 88 SI transmission uses a smaller clutch and such. a 88 clutch and PP will bolt up to a 89 flywheel, I know cause I have a 89 DX, with a 88 SI trans.
In other words, what year is your SI trans?

as i recall the 90-91 were slightly larger surface area than the 88-89 so if the years are the same to the clutch you will be fine other wise you can't run a 90-91 clutch on a 88-89 flywheel but don't quote me on that also you need to watch the transmission spline count it may not work with your clutch depending on year the 88 is 21 and 89 and above is 20 i believe good luck to you
Match the Fly and ALL clutch components to the transmission or you will be in for a world of pain. Just take your flywheel to a small auto parts place and tell them its the same year as the trans and buy a new one. You can get it for like $40 since you gave them your core. Then get the clutch combo to match the fly/trans year. 88 only matchs 88, 89 is seperate also. But 90-91 is same. Stick with trans year and you'll be alright - Darrell
1988 clutch = 21 spline (200 mm surface)
1989 clutch = 20 spline (200 mm surface)
1990-1991 clutch = 20 spline (212 mm surface)
Use the appropiate clutch for that year flywheel.

Yes, 90-91 clutchs are the same part # for all models. I would call an auto-parts store and ask them for the part #s on both the Si and DX flywheels, if they match then you can use either flywheel. Don't just guess and risk it then have to take it apart again. - Darrell

All the information you need to know has been posted above. If the Si trans is a 90-91 you will be able to use your existing setup. Otherwise you will need to match the flywheel and clutch to the year of the trans.

the only way it won't work is if the Si transmission happens to be 88
