is the wiring harness from a 88/89 the same as a 90/91??
for the civic hatch is the interior harness the same? are they pretty much plug and play??
im swapping chassis, from a 88 to a 90 body, and the 90 doesnt have intermitent wipers so im planning on swapping the steering column as well as the wiper motor, just wanted to know if i have to swap the entire harness over as well.
thanks

Don't be so sure... many people on here have said that the shock tower plugs are different. Best thing to do would be to double check that.

youve got the right idea, the hazard switch is in a different location....
and be FOREWAREND most of the rear harnesses were given a different newer shape to them, so youll need to take the old ones from your 88-89, or use the newer ones already in the car as you go.
its a very lengthy process, id recomend using the correct harness from whatever split gen you have (88-89) or (90-91)
that would make it plug and play as you asked, but you can do it, i did the same thing. why? somoene FUBARED my ecu plugs, so i used an 1989 SI harness in my 1990 DX... it was different.
good luck kid.

if i use the one in the 90 car, will it mate up to the engine harness from the 88 car? also i will be swapping my dash over, its black and the one in the 90 is police blue
will the 90 harness plug into the 88 dash?? or would you suggest takign the extra time to strip the 88 harness out and swap it over?
i guess what im really asking is can i leave the 90 interior harness in the 90 car and use the 88 dash and column?

okay so its totally different, but will i be able to use the existing 90 harness, and swap over the 88 dash and column and use that harness? just trying to cut down on the down time involved with the swap.
