Default my car prob of the week, thanks honda-tech. search engine...it's strong!

so i decided to sell my hatch. it had a 99 ls motor in it and that was not to be sold wit da car so in goes back a stocker. i had a stocker but when i swapped i took the sohc apart, for whatever reasons, i dont know. bonk me. so i searched for a stock sohc longblock, where else to search for one?, HONDA-TECH.com. so about a month ago i found one locally from "igone916". i was to trade my 94+ geezer seats for his sohc, fair trade?????? he kind of lagged more than i wanted but overall it was koo, cause it turned out my boy was his boy too, so i didn't say anything about any delays. anyways i got the the motor on sunday 3/13/05 from igone916. on monday i took out the ls moto and put the sohc together. tuesday i put in the sohc. plug everything ups, blah blah blahs. i accidently put the baterry in reverse (pos to neg, neg to pos). i didn't realize until the next day. so i have everything connected (the right & wrong way), and tries to start the moto. nah ain't happinin'. i go through a string of probs, and i'm pretty pissed. so next day, wednesday, i checks out the hb, and now...i realize the battery is gayed out and also the battery 60a fuse is blown, i dont have one here or near me. i leave it be, cause i procrastanated. thursday i take pics of it when i wakes up cause i'm bored, oh yeah i'm unemployed, i mess with cars constantly.

pic of the car wit no working heart. so i just chills for the day until the afternoon and i goes to picknpull to go gank me a battery fuse and scope the inventory. heh, the admission should cover the fuse"s". so goes home, the battery is straight now, but stills wont start. checked fuel & spark, it's koo. double checks everything, koo. so i notice that i don't know the spark plug wire order, bonk me. i searched HT and solved that issued. the car started for a split second. it wont start a-gain. im frustrated. i checked the pulley and cam gear to see if it was aligned. i guess it was but tried to redo the timing anyways. i noticed that i forgot how to do it, so i searched HT and solved that issue. but still no solve. so i did the valve lash, though i think it should not affect start up, and i noticed that i forgot the valve lash settings, so i searched HT and solved that. still no start though, . the other day i checked the inside of the dizzy and the rotor was oddly & incredibly loose, also the dizzy was working with the ls moto before i took the moto out. so i noticed that i had no idea how this would affect start up, so i searched HT for rotor probs, and realized that it does affect it. thanks HT. search works! u damn noobs must search! there so much archived content, dude! i quits for awhile and now it's 12:30 am pacific time 3/18/05. i was bored searching the net, so i checked out my ride. i pulls the dizzy outs, and now i see that the rotor is no longer loose, it's to ***** and pieces. i cranked the moto a whole lot so that may i have some'em to do wit it. i go to my bucket of spare dizzys and finds a rotor. okay now i feel 99% confident that it will start. bam like that, vroom vroom. finally, all that work for a sohc, my sis tells me, it's pretty late to be working on my car. so what! i'm a car nut.

my ls started on the first try. never ever had any frustrations with the ls. very good motor .

well, that was long, but the moral of the story is, SEARCH! and search good. dont type crazy *** words. type basic words, that u think everyone will include in thier topic title in a certain subject and have some common sense. i never posted a "huh i got probs help me now" topic. i search first and i search alot. then u annoy the members of HT .

wow, isn't HT useful .

as i am a strong supporter of searching before posting as well, i have had a hard time with the search engine on H-T. I think it has something to do with a firewall I may have on my computer or something because I can look at subject line in one frame and go to the search from and search for a couple specific words found in that subject line and sometimes it won't return that. I blame the user more than the search. Ok , I'm being the devil's advocate on this one.
Good you got it goin bro.

haha, i got mismatch coilovers on. they suck! oh well. i think blue maxspeed up front and some kind of red ones in the back, all on stock shocks. i had the car on 4x4 mode for like a year and just this week i just slammed it, cause i was bored.

i constantly hit bumpstops. one time i hit a corner so fast, i hit a small bump in the road and the car,...well,...let's just say it was a rough ride.
