you dont wana go too light in certain applications..

if you plan on boosting stick with stock lightened flywheel or even 12lbs is ok.. reason is with boost you need the flywheel to have some weight to it to keep momentum going to help buld boost quicker beleive me it helps

but if you are going all motor then go with a 8lb'er the lighter the better

boost comes sooner with a lighter flywheel. this has been discussed many times over. this is why many boosted Tegs prefer lighter flywheel because it helps spools faster. either way, i would recommend a lighter flywheel for any application.

many people stick with heavier flywheels because it's easier to drive with. for the performance minded...lighter is better.

I've had a 7.5 lb ClutchMasters flywheel for nearly 2 years and over 50K miles now. I have no issues with it and it drives great.

that is odd.... my b18c1 boosted was very different when i switched from a 8lb flywheel to a 12 lbs act unit.... i was able to spool up quicker and maintain boost easier with the extra momentum... i am aware of the many discussions of heavy vs light and again it is all preference i suppose...

everyone i now thats runing highboost is runign heavier weight flywheels than other boosted guys running lighter ones and are turning much better times even when driving the different cars with same drivers.....

lighter flywheel = spools faster/boost faster
heavier flywheel = spools slower/maintains boost longer
