Wow... you're right. It sure is an OBD0 ZC. I'm tossing the converter as mine is a manual.

sorry i found this post really funny. Alot of us can just see a pic of like the dizzy plugs and know the engine.

My girlfriend just gave me a dirty look....i better end this post quick.

Oh yeah i have a DOHC ZC too. i'm really likeing it minus my clutch problem

As far as I know, I just need to take the converter off and bolt it up to the manual tranny that's in my car. Then I'm goig to sell it on eBay as a "JDM performance converter" and see what I can get out of it.

atleast you know its not beat on since it was an auto and auto ecu has lower redline and even it they drop overdrive or L, 2nd, 3rd, D gear it wouldnt rev high enough.

obd1 has gray plugs at the dist, not the yellow/faded plastic like obd0

yeha i believe that you might want to trade the cams because the cams in there now probably have a less agressive grind with the auto trans

just my 2 cents

your also going to have extra places for vacume lines on the intake manifold from it being an auto...not a big deal, you can plug them up...

man i miss my old zc, but i still love my a6...
