Help me Buy my springs by Tonite!!
lol what i meant was help me pick my springs, i want to buy them tonite.I did my homework and clicked on every topic regarding springs, but i'm still undecided. The best coilover's out their for a descent price of course are GC, but i can't afford them right now.
The eibach sports are almost $200 shipped and you get a small drop with a comfy ride, Same thing with Skunk.
So here are the choices for me, that i can afford to buy today.
TEINS

H R

These are going on a 91 crx si with the kyb's gr-2 or the Agx.

H&R Sports are a pretty comfy ride. If your just going for looks, I'd say H&R Sports. Never dealt with Tein's, but I've seen them on an EG, looks alright, little lower than stock. But hell, I'd get the Eibach Sportlines over those anyday.
Oh wait a minute, those are the H&R Race springs on the auction. Never seen them on an EF. Pretty low for the struts you're gonna use. But I can't say much, I got some for my Vigor, and they're going on stock struts...lol...damn I'm a cheap ***.
Oh, and the JDM Community? Lol...funniest post I've ever read. Well, here's a picture of my old 4dr on Eibach Sportlines, and my buddy's old hatch on H&R Sports. Pretty similar I guess.

which would be better?

GR-2's are not supposed to be lowered on at all so I dont think they would hold up for a long period of time under a drop. Although I have seen the thread with the Tein and gr2 setup and he claims they ride great. The agx's have a 1.5 inch lowering warranty but they are also lifetime as well as the gr-2's, it just depends on how often you like changing out your shocks. I have the H&R race springs on 1 of my crx's and im not really happy about the drop, it seems as if the rear is lower than the front even with the B-series motor. The H&R race springs have blown out a set of gr2's, tokico blues, and tokico illuminas, and they ride stiff as ****, hence the name race springs. I just put on a set of TEIN s-techs on my daily driver crx with the stock shocks and they feel great. The lowering was only 1.5" in the rear and 1.6" in the front but it looks perfect now without that 4x4 stance. As far as the ride quality with these teins they feel like stock but definately improve handling. I was able to purchase these for 140 shipped new from ebay. I dont have any experience with the eibach sportlines but the drop looks great, kinda a high price tag at 200 for just a spring. I have also seen the GC's coilover sleeves for like 250, so if you want an adjustable spring then save up 50 more dollars and get those. HOpe this helps somewhat
thanks for the input but you kinda contradicted yourself. you said that gr-2 are only for stock height but then you use the tein s-tech's on stock struts.
i guess what i want to know is what are the differences in the ride quality? can the agx be adjusted to be the same as the gr-2's? im thinking i should go with the agx that way i can keep them higher for daily driving and if i want to drag or autoX i can lower them a little??

I didnt mean to "contradict" myself im only saying if I were going to buy a shock to lower on the GR-2 would not be an option. I used the Teins with my stock shocks because I dont wanna buy another set of shocks, and they ride fine anyway. The gr-2s are not adjustable and the agx's are.
so since i do plan to buy new shocks i should go with the agx? can they be as comfortable as gr-2's for a daily driver? would they be better for performance (when lowered)?

H&R Sports all the way old skool EFers have been using them forever when Neuspeed vs H&R was the comparison and still pulls ahead of most competition 4/5 years down the road, trust me they are 1" lower then Tein S-Tech(****. like tane) but they are smooth riding with a better look.
nothing beats H&Rs with tokicos illuminas i'd like to compare them to GC and koni yellows.. Eibachs are just as good but pricy. Then there is Full coilover systems. which H&R makes. But you have omniman and his setup which is cheap and i dont PERSONALLY know the difference in skunk2, tein, h&r, hotchkis or omni's full setups. But we are dealing with DD light EFs even for the HC racer i dont think you really need that much done into your suspension.
My tokico blues(HP) and skunkworks coilovers are the best @ 2.5" drop.

im just looking for about a 1.5" drop so i don't think i would want the h&r's. the extra inch drop would probably give me a little rougher driving and i would also need a camber kit (i would think so anyhow)

I own a set of newspeed sports and I can honestly say its one of the best springs I have ever bought....rides suprisingly nice and comfortable. drops it perfect. but now i have 15's with a 55 pro tires so it sits a lil higher than id like but i love rides slammed.....o i should mention neuspeed springs do NOT slam ur ride...they lower ir perfect

H&R Sport is 1.9inch drop. Just get a cmaber correction kit for 50$ and get your toe set to or near zero and your ******* set
