Default broken timing belt

Ive got some serious issues with my 96 lude now that the timing belt broke on me. I know a lot has to be done to the engine now and everything, but thats not my biggest problem. I took it in to a mechanic and they said the bolts holding the head on the engine have melted into the engine leaving no way to take off the head to get to the pistons and stuff. So i basically need a whole new engine now. Anyone go tany advice as what i could do?

i seriously doubt that the head studs melted into the block, tell him to not be a ***** and/or get a bigger breaker bar.....

but if you need a new engine, there are plenty of people on here that have engines for sale, just make sure its legit before you buy one....

doesn't really matter much. the only difference is the jdm engines have slightly higher compression. Like in 4th gens, jdm is 10.6:1 and usdm is 10:1. At least that's the only difference I know of.

yea because they are tuff as hell to get off. But on the JDM thing the H22a comes with the JDM p13 ECU which has different fuel and ignition maps but it has a speed limiter.

Try H22a, it's around $2500.

1) $2500 for complete swap is too much (unless lsd)
2) he only needs a longblock, why pay for another tranny

okay what we have here is bad engine??? just kdding... I have never heard off this? maybe I don't drive my lude like that. Well if this is true, you might just want to put a used motor in and save your money on them trying to sale you all the parts in rebuilting you motor...

I bet the ******* stripped them trying to take them off. Now hes trying to blame it on the motor. I would check them out my self. He probably screwed them up.
