ok i had a couple questions i wanted to be certain on for the secondary o2 sensor on a Y8. i am awaiting a simulator and want it to be wired correctly and understand the wiring that goes with it.

wire in harness #, then color, ECU PIN, description

1) WHT/RED D14 Detects signal
2) GRN/WHT D13 Ground
3) BLK/WHT E ?
4) BLK/WHT A5 Drives Heater

my Questions

1) #1 is that the signal wire to the ECU or Power??
2) what is the E for on #3?? what does #3 do??

pages 236 and 239 for description of ECU pin outs except #3 which i cant find anything on

#1. The Wht/Red wire is the O2 signal output -or- the input to the ECU (they are saying the same thing). It is not a power wire. This would be the wire that you would hook a cheap-*** AutoMeter A/F gauge to.

#2. Since you've alread accounted for A5, this must mean the other Blk/Wht wire is +12v. The ECU grounds A5 to control the heater element. In the rear of the under-dash fuse/relay box, they are like 5 big connectors in a cluster - there are two connectors on the edge, one has 8 pins, the other has 18 pins. The 18 pin is what is supplying the +12v.

What Helms do you have? My Helms has a format in chapter # - page numer #.

yo where do you get a o2 sensor cheater? I've searched and can't seem to find a place that sells them for hondas. If someone could give me a website or something then that would be awesome. Thanks.
