I'm planning to purchase a comptech supercharger, I would like to know if its worthed? I saw the dyno result but motortrend of whatever magazine was that did a test with S2000 with the comptech supercharger and the quarter mile time does not change at all. Please verify this finding.

 

What does "is it worthed" mean?

 

You're 1/4 mile and 0-60 won't improve much because the supercharger doesn't do much below 6k rpms. It's like "super vtec". I don't think it's worth it. If I were to do F.I. I'd do a turbo, it'll cost more but you'll get more.

 

I dunno,a guy w/ a red S2K around here has it and it's a pretty fast car,faster than a stock Supra TT by a half second.

High 12's low 13's. Depends on if the supra driver was a good driver or not.

I think I know who you mean, does he drive around with a yellow S4? He's on S2Ki all the time.

Best I've heard from a s/c'ed S2000 is a 13.1, correct me if I'm wrong.

 

I like mine. It adds a good amount of power, pretty much hassle free, and has a CARB number.

There is noy way in hell I will pay 6-7k for a turbo kit plus another 1500 for install and tuning. With that kinda money, I`d buy and EG and make a track car out of it

 

From what I have read and talked to people on the scene. The Comptech supercharger is not only overpriced, but also doesn't yield nearly decent results for the price for $5,000. Rather, I've recently been reading lots about the new fabricated turbo out of Florida by Speedcraft. For $6,500 (a mere $1,500 more), the turbo is the definitely the way to go. That's just my opinion. I'd already have her on my s2k if i had the $$$...lol

 

you can get the comptech unit for $4200-4300 all day long. I made 285 to the wheels w/ stock header which is plenty. Also, I`d only reccomend turbo`ing and s2k if you have some turbo experience.
