1994 EX/LX exhaust manifold swap, o2 sensors different?
i was just curious since my car has been getting bad gas mileage forever even after most major tuneups...
ive done a ex exhaust manifold on my lx engine, and i never changed out the LX's o2 sensor to a EX o2,,, ive checked part #'s and they do differ in part #'s but is there any real difference in the EX/LX o2's besides a longer wire?? im thinking the o2 difference is my culprit for my gas mileage... if anyone has anymore info thatll be great! thanks.

well if you just swapped the manifold then you shouldnt have to swap the o2 sensor... did this problem start when you swapped the manifold>? are you sure there is no exhaust leaking anywhere? btw, why did you do this?
i swapped the manifold because i wanted the 4-2-1 instead of a 4-1 said to have a little better low end speed (daily driven), the manifold did not come with a o2, so i reused my old o2 from my lx, but on diagrams off hondaautomotive the 2 o2 part #'s are different... from the looks of the genuine ones the wiring is just slightly longer, but im not sure if voltage or anything else might be different causing a wrong reading or something. but with the leaks ill have to double check on that next time when i have a day off
and my car has started getting bad mileage since the exhaust, but i removed the straight thru oem piping and got a maze design back pressured muffler... i was hoping itll improve a little but still pretty similar mileage... tune up was done recently but o2 was not changed... the o2 has about 40-50k on it only...
