Car Mod's for the ITR EXPO
I'm going to keep my post on this subject short, but the rest of you are encouraged to respond and carefully consider the following:
For those of you considering substantial suspension changes, do the whole thing that's recommended as a "package" (careful with those Mugen rear bars, ... speaking from experience here)!
If you're not sure how individual pieces are going to help out, ask someone who's used that particular item and/or install it with enough time ahead of the event so as to find out if there are any problems with the install itself (to see if it causes other things to "come to light"), and for you to have enough time and experience with your new set-up so as to be "comfortable" with it on the track.
We're all competitive to one extent or another (why else buy an R), however ... this is NOT A RACE !
There's bound to be some mis-cues, ... but keep in mind that you'll want to be given the respect you deserve from the rest of us (and the instructors) by driving within your limits.
Do all of your normal maintenance using the highest quality fluids and materials available (this is the worst place to "skimp").
Of course, the first things to consider would be front pads and better brake fluid (Valvoline synthetic seems widely available).
Since this is not a race, and times will not be "posted", street tires will do just fine for first or second timers.
MOST OF ALL -- we'll be there to have fun, which means driving on the track with some common sense and gradually working up to your potential .
Thanks... Ed

Thanks guys!
You did notice I used a checkered flag instead of the wrench in the title line.
hint, hint ... everyone still running at the end of the day is a WINNER !
P.S. I've got JDM header and 2 1/2" exhaust envy.
(ed- whose still running his little USDM DC 4-1 and stock b-pipe)

I just wanna say, don't mod your car just because you want to impress others during Expo. No cars would be more impressive than EP's so try to beat that.
But I doubt that anyone could duplicate another Mugen mobile within just a few months. So just leave your car as is, or only do mods by keeping "safe" and "reliable" in mind.

Does that me I have to reverse my mods

I just don't want to see people get stranded at the paddock. When you ask them what happened they say, "I dunno. I just put these on 2 days ago."
I feel your pain. Except mine is only put away for the winter
He should be coming out this weekend though. 50 degree weather here in Chicago

(You DO know you can have your liability and collision coverage suspended if you're not going to be using the car for a while, right? Saves money...)
