I1: 2.480
I2: 6.641
I3: 10.041

your trap speed is high for the time that you ran...........work on your launch, simple as that.

-I retract my previous statement...
The engine mount needs fixed ASAP if you plan on going fast... You need to cut the 60' down a bit.

I still think the last shift was ugly at best.

here's an old slip of mine

I1 2.263
I2 6.17
I3 9.446
mph 73.9
I4 12.255

14.624
95.219

his 1/8 mile trap speed is high too, crappy 60foots tend to lead to higher than normal trap speeds. with a good launch, i think his car has a high 14 in it

autotek.........you post editing *****

Last night was crazy out there. It was sold out. They went pretty slow at first it seemed but picked up pretty nicely surprisingly. I would up redlighting and was done after only 4 passes. Your times aren't too horrible, but the 60 is what is killing you. You have the mph for a high 14 second pass.

yeah that day was actually my first day racing that car !!! so i guess i wasnt that bad huh ? but yeah the first 60' is killing me ! i believe my reaction time sux too ! i think that broken motor mount is afecting me really bad ! hopefully it gets fixed this weekend .

i have a few other things im goin to add to the car but i also want to get the car tuned when i get that stuff installed . im goin to add: a test pipe , b&m fuel pressure regulator ,
AEM adjustable cam gears, and a APEXI VAFC and of course im goin to get all that stuff dyno tuned . what should i be running with that extra stuff ????

yeah it was decent amount of people at the beguining and then later on it got packed . it was fun..

I wouldn't waste my time with a VAFC, fix it the right way and get a Hondata or chipped P28. The gears will be pretty much worthless on stock cams and the test pipe will get you tossed on Wednesday if they find it. Especially considering in California its a federal offense to remove the cat. But hey, each to his own.

Reaction time has nothing to do with your 1/4 mile time either.

i already have the fuel regulator and the cam gears . i dont have the test pipe and the vafc yet . im thinking twice about the test pipe , and the vtech controller . i dont think i'll do those . im running a itr ecu at the moment . what can i do with that ? can that get chipped?
if nothing what are my options on getting onother ecu and chipped . and how much $$$$ would it be ?

You need an OBD-II to OBD-I conversion harness and then some form of chippable OBD-I ecu. If you want to keep the knock sensor enabled, you need a P72, P30, P61. If you don't care about the knock sensor, then a P28 will work just fine. Once you have those, you need the ECU chipped. If you want, I will chip it for you, or there are other people on Honda-tech offering the service also. Its fairly cheap and will get you headed in the right direction. Problem is without a wideband and someone with a burner near you, you can't really "tune" the setup. You might be better off in this situation getting a Hondata and taking it to your local Hondata tuner (if you have one).

hondata is a "stand alone" type managment system that runs off the stock ecu. personally, i think it's an overkill for your car at this point in time. it can get very expensive depending on what options you decide to get; i'd say AT LEAST 500 bucks all said and done.

you need to figure out how far you want to go with your car before you start looking at tunning options.

Standalone yes, but don't mislead him saying it will work with his current ECU. He will still need to convert it to OBD-1 and obtain an OBD-1 ECU.

i was refering to the fact that hondata works with a stock honda ecu, and not a complete stand alone, but i suppose that is misleading. yes, you do need to convert to obd1.

Why do people go to the dragstrip with broken motor mounts and beat the crap out of their cars.
