Default H22a build all motor for now.

any links with some input.. i have a EG hatch 93 and i came accross a good deal on my h22a with bent valves about 4 and everything else is good. It also came with AEM cam gears and lsd tranny, Now i really wana build this motor to withstand high revving and i want it to be a 12 sec daily driver that i dont have to worry about blowing up. what would u suggest. ,,, or maybe u can point me in the right direction.

Kinda looking for information like if u were in my situation and u were going to take the motor and sit it aside for 6 months what would u do to it. type thing. or maybe u have done it and goten results.. appreciate all the info.

send it out.

have it ported/polished/beefed up cams/valvetrain, blueprinted, crank balanced, new bearings, new pumps, belts, remove a/c-cc-ps, a sick header(smsp). hondata....

then get it sent back and rebuild it, from the bottom up. 12 second car is no joke all motor.

12 seconds would be really hard out here.. im in albuquerque new mexico and im over 1 mile above sea level.. and that means that air is really slim so 12 secs would be hard.. with my hmotor...

right now i have the motor and tranny.. with lsd.. and aem cam gears.. hope to do alot more before dropping it in..

Is it true that u cant get aftermarket rods and pistons on the H22 u have to sleeve it first and rebore it to do so.. this is something that i heard.. ?

most aftermarket pistons will require you to sleeve, im still awaiting the feedback from the mahle pistons, they are supposed to work with oem sleeves

you could always run OEM pistons of the same bore size....not really sure how prelude motors are as far as OEM compression pistons go tho....

i dont no either hopefully someone here has knowledge of a set of pistons u can buy for the h22 without sleeves.. maybe even just forged stock compression pistons and rods would be nice just so that the block doesnt have to be sleeved i heard that it cost a **** load for the sleeving process.

i thought about the type S pistons that might be a good idea.. if i do that would still like some forged rods i dont think i will shave the head though.. i have to get all new valves though.. cuz a few are bent.. but the type S pistons should give me a nice jump in power.

Whats this...? whats the CR on SH slugs? anybody know?

i think the SH is the special handling model im sure that the motor is the exact same but it comes with the optional lsd and what not. thats all that is special on that car.. I didnt find it to be that fast when i got smoked really bad by a b16 in a hatch in my frieds prelude SH.

oh word....too bad theyre a different bore size....

thas why i like b-series...having 81mm bore really broadens the customizing, even though it lacks in displacement....
