Default Pulled a compression test 1500 miles after my rebuild...

And it fing sucks. 94 B18C1 w/P73 OO(JDM ITR) pistons and Endyn flat exhaust valves...lots of other mods...fing 190-200 in each cylinder...then added some oil, 250 in each cylinder. I guess my question is, should I have gone .25 overbore? I had my walls honed and the machinist said overbores would have been better, but would it affect it that much??? I also noticed smoke out of the exhaust when I rip it....Does the oil test mean its my rings? How do CTR pistons sound..streetable? Thanks for the help..

You are effed sorry. Been there done that. I had the blocked honed twice the second time with .020 over pistons stock compression. Got oil and smoke coming out the muffler after 2000 miles. My theory= Try and get your money back from whoever worked on your rebuild. 2. Find someone else to maybe resleeve your block. 3. If your like me and just tired of all the bullshyt and your car being in the shop, buy a new Itr block from honda. I was totally fed up and decided to buy a new head while I was at it. Yes I paid a grip for another fresh start. Do I regret it? All I have to say now is I barely check my oil level when I do I dont put any oil in it. I have 23k on this new 2000 motor doesnt burn the first drop of oil. Ask yourself this.
Is it worth it to spend thousands of dollars on an engine only to runs 15's or high 14's? Im not mechanically inclined so I cant do swaps or rebuilds, If I could I would have and ls motor with boost. Sorry so long. Intake, header, exhaust, cam gears. After that quit while your ahead.

.....man Dru, sorry to hear that!

I've been trying to set up an appointment with Arthur for you as well... I guess that won't matter, huh?

IM me and I'll send you a link to help you decide on pistons. Is it possible it's just your headgasket leaking?

Try doing a leakdown test too.....

Mike, did you still happen to have that itr head or block laying around anywhere, and maybe want to sell them?

Sounds like the rings.
Go get overbore CTR pistons or jdm p30 pistons.

thanks for the genrosity ATL people....clark engine works did the block work, I did the rebuild. When I finished my rebuild the damn car didnt start, towed it to a shop, they did a leakdown and it was leaking all through the valves. Guess who did the valves, yup, clark engine works. I thought they were pretty reputable, but I guess not. I dont wanna blame it on them though. Its just tough luck. I want the CTR pistons now....I hope I dont hit pistons and valves....

PS. Black R...my buddy's turbo SI dyno'd at like 260/185

why would you have piston/valve contact? running high lift cams with a severly
milled head?

I dont have then engine anymore Black R but you can call Doug at simply honda's in Canton. He has the old motor. 678 445 7909. I drive all the way to canton to let him service my car. I dont trust anyone else with it.

Inte D I shouldnt be so negative as far as mods go but the reason's for my issues are because I drive my car daily and usually go thru 3k miles in like a month and a half. So Its important for me to have a car I can drive from here to california and back if I want to. If you dont drive as much then by all means, if you have the means. Just make sure you have a back up plan if something goes wrong
