Default Fixing a cross threaded coil over perch?

I think the upper perch on my coilovers are crossthreaded. It won't go down, but i can get it to spin a little. It's currently soaking in WD40 to see if i can move it. They're Skunk2 coil overs over KYB AGX shocks. Is there a way to fix it if it is cross threaded, or am I just fucked? Thanky!

UPPER perch? you mean the lower spring perch (at the bottom of the spring) you adjust??

why not disassemble the shock, remove the spring tension completely and check for yourself?

I didn't have time for this. By upper, I meant the top of the lower locking portion. I mispoke. It ended up threading after enough tries. Thanks for the input.
