Setting distributor timing back to stock, no timing gun ?
Lots of people have different views on it... but what's the proper procedure ?
My timing was advanced and I'm on a bad tank of gas and need to drop it down some, but I won't have access to a timing gun for a couple weeks.
Some ppl recommend doing while the car is running and the diagnostic jumper is shorted. So should I do it while running or not ? If not... why the jumper ?

The proper procedure in the Honda manual says get the car up to operating temperature. Then while the car running jump the diagnostic plug with a wire. Then set the timing with a timing light and when it's done pull the wire out of the plug. I don't really know how you're going to set your timing without a light though. Maybe buy one and return it after you use it, heh.

All it does is tells the ecu NOT to make continuous little adjustments to the timing while it's running (while you're measuring it).
