well i seen his banner on here so i clicked on it and it took me to his ebay store. He has a ton of ecu's for all types of honda's but they say spoon, jun, mugen. then u click on the link and it just says how good the ecu is doesnt actually say spoon or nothing. scared to get a knock off or something cheap. i mean yea, its prolly chipped but with what? will the chip burn out and **** slap me? it comes with a year manufacturer defect so cant be too bad?

Why do you want a chipped ecu anyway? It is a static program that is based off of another car's mods. IMO I would get an afc or vafc before I went with just a static ecu chip

 

yea my brother was telling me to get an air/fuel ratio controller. see it depends tho i dont have a d16 i have a gsr crx. I dont see why a chip would harm it. i mean i love the info he has about when vtec comes in and all and thats what i want(besides a 9600 red line WTF) but that chip can make a world of a difference and i decided to read his feedback and every customer he had said he was great the ecu was awesome. there was only 8 out of like 800 that werent a + but they were nutruel not bad. just said shipping messed up. i dont know i just want to see how well the ecu performed and hope someone bought one on here

 

I am not saying a chip would harm the engine just that it might not run it optimally or make the most power. Alot of chips tend to run the engine on the rich side for safety so just be prepared for that. Also like you mentioned the rev limit is usually higher.

 

hmm yea it said it changes the air fuel. you couldnt run both could you? cause the ecu is trying to configure its own way while ur controlling it. cause i would like a perfct air fuel ratio thruought the powerband. whats a good afrc, for a decent price? i still want vtec alot earlier well at the most 5500

 

I would recommend the apexi vafc. You can get them new for about 350 and used for much cheaper.
