Just ordered a new steering rack for my 91 DX that has a shot rack.. Cant wait to get it! There is so play in my rack, squeeking and rattling coming from it when i hit bumps while turning...

I found a place that sells remanned racks for 112$ shipped, couldnt believe it! no core needed, either...

if anyone is interested, i'll share

allrighty!!! I knew this would gather some interest... I found the store through their Ebay store.... their phone number is: 800-990-2953. the salesman is Greg; he is very knowlegdeable, they have been around in a brick and mortar location for a long time.

i cant guarantee the price, but hey its worth a shot to give him a call...the guy is really knowledgeable so any questions and he'll probably be able to answer

+1 more interested in this, i'll check it out later today

a quafie rack? links to this? I've heard the brand, but never looked into it. A quicker ratio would be nice. If I could get anything close to a s2000's steering turning ratio that would be sweet.

Quaife makes pieces to make the steering ratio quicker...I know it was covered in the RR/AX forum a few months back

you guys think its worth the extra $100 if you have to replace it anyway? I don't do much road racing, etc., but maybe someday I will. Just wondering if it's a "might as well" type mod while you got to replace the damn rack anyway.

a little off topic, but the si is a slightly tigher ratio than the others. according to the manual, its actually variable ratio.
